How to Prepare Your Medical Reports for a Second Opinion

A second opinion is only as good as the information the doctor receives. An hour spent organising your file before you send it usually saves days of back-and-forth.

What to gather

  • The diagnosis summary: your latest clinic letter or discharge summary, with dates.
  • Imaging: MRI, CT, PET or X-ray. Send the written report and the images themselves (a CD or the image files). Doctors often need to see the scans, not only the radiologist’s summary.
  • Laboratory results: recent blood tests and, where relevant, tumour markers.
  • Pathology: if you had a biopsy or surgery, the full pathology report.
  • Treatment so far: operations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other procedures, with dates.
  • Current medicines and doses, and any allergies.

Reports in Arabic

Doctors in India work in English. If your reports are in Arabic, add a short English note with the diagnosis, the dates and the key results. A full translation is not always needed at this stage, and our team can help with it.

Write down your questions

Bring three to five questions, for example: Is the diagnosis confirmed? Which treatment options exist? Is surgery necessary? How long would treatment and recovery take? What is the likely cost range?

How to send everything

  • Use the form on this site (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB per file) or send the files on WhatsApp.
  • Name files clearly, for example “MRI-brain-2026-09.pdf”.
  • Photograph or scan pages flat and in good light, and check that your name and the date are readable.

What happens next

An Arabic-speaking coordinator replies within 24 hours. Your reports go only to the doctors reviewing your case, and you receive the options and an indicative cost in writing, with no obligation.

Important: a second opinion supports your decision; it does not replace your own doctor. Do not stop or change treatment without medical advice, and in an emergency go to the nearest hospital.
